ABOUT
At the heart of Things by Simmcat lies a constant search for decorative shapes and colours, drawn from the details of everyday life — objects, clothing, places, and atmospheres. I observe, collect, and reinterpret these elements, studying their forms and transforming them into new visual compositions.
After studying painting at Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan and sculpture at Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm, I continued my education in London at Central Saint Martins School to explore textile printing techniques. It was there that I began translating my drawings into textiles and objects, and where the idea of Things by Simmcat first took shape.
I believe that pattern has the power to shift our perception of objects and spaces, making them feel fresh, unexpected, and renewed.
It is this subtle, quiet transformation that fascinates me — and it's where my work begins.
